Botetourt County Supports Investment in Start-up Flying Mouse Brewery
Fincastle, VA – Today the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors approved a $36,000 incentives package for the Flying Mouse Brewery located near Daleville. The Board’s action formalized proposals offered to the company’s owners to induce them to locate and open the brewery in the County.
Frank and Debbie Moeller are principal owners and residents of Troutville. They and their partners are investing over $500,000 in capital improvements and expect to create 10 jobs over the next four years.
“This is a great project for Botetourt County,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Clinton. “Besides the gratification of this being a local start-up with so much potential, this particular business, I believe, will really contribute to the vitality of the county and offer residents and visitors, alike, another distinctive experience that complements so much of what we already enjoy here in Botetourt.”
Under terms of the approved agreement, the County will provide incentives valued at approximately $35,000 to Flying Mouse contingent on the company meeting its performance obligations. The County’s grant is scheduled to be paid over five annual installments.
