Collections include family history books, Virginia County books, cemetery information and books on Virginia History. Files of loose material are included in addition to the book collections. (Contributions of family history materials are welcome.)

Periodically, classes about genealogical research are offered.

Botetourt County Circuit Court Clerk's Office

Fpo Did You Know

The Blue Ridge Parkway, which marks its 75th Anniversary in 2010, winds through the eastern border of Botetourt County for over 35 miles in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bird lovers come each October to Harvey's Knob Overlook to watch the hawks and falcons as they migrate south for the winter.
