Polling Place Election Officer
Serving as an Election Officer is a rewarding way to participate in your government and help ensure a fair and well-organized voting process. Botetourt County needs approximately 140 dependable and committed citizens to serve as election officers in its 17 precincts for each General Election. Recreation
The Recreation Department is continually looking for dedicated volunteers to support its various programs and activities. The County utilizes volunteers to support parks and playing fields, coach youth sports teams, and promote its many programs. Additionally, the County works collectively with seven booster clubs in the area made up entirely of volunteers, which support and organize local youth sports leagues. Volunteer Fire Departments and Rescue Squads
The residents of Botetourt County are very fortunate to be served by an outstanding group of individuals that comprise the county's various volunteer fire departments and volunteer rescue squads. The selfless dedication portrayed by these men and women is truly inspiring and greatly appreciated. However, more enthusiastic volunteers are always in demand.
